This Wayne, NJ kitchen design project uses a high-end traditional English country style kitchen. Traditional kitchens can be characterized by their warm characteristics, their use of natural materials, and their embrace of intricate design detailing, all of which can be found in this stunning traditional kitchen design by our Modiani kitchen designer Bernard Kim. This designer kitchen was custom made according to our design team’s suggestions and our client’s design specifications, and makes great use of all typical traditional kitchen characteristics.

This traditional kitchen uses our Modiani Handcrafted kitchen line, which is custom made in our own kitchen factory in Pennsylvania, USA. We suggested to use this kitchen line since we have maximum flexibility in terms of all the design features, cabinet moldings and other desired design details. The kitchen cabinet finish used for all kitchen cabinets has a beige, so-called cappuccino cabinet color. To more be specific, it is a cappuccino glazed finish. It uses beautiful elegant kitchen cabinet handles and knobs, which is a stunning combination that can be seen as the accessories of this award-winning, traditional kitchen design.

Everything about this high-end kitchen is custom made, and it features a very large, nearly ten-foot long kitchen island, which is located in the center of the kitchen space and includes seating opportunities, work surfaces, and a sink. The kitchen island is larger than the islands used in most interior and kitchen spaces, and it has a few unique design features that make it really special. Carved cubbyhole storage was added at the ends of the kitchen island, leaving room to display artistic elements and to store small items such as cookbooks and plants. The handcrafted island is curved to the seating side, giving it a very detailed, rich appearance. The island also has enough length to provide seating for three people and features an Iroko wood top.

A three piece crown molding is used throughout this traditional kitchen design. The color palette is held in light, with the gray stone countertop and the wooden kitchen island countertop forming the major contrasts. The kitchen cabinets by Modiani Handcrafted were painted in ivory color and the kitchen floor is made using light gray porcelain tiles in a wood pattern. The doorways were finished with brushed paint, which works really well with the overall kitchen design.
