This high-end custom kitchen features a very large, nearly ten-foot island in the center of the space, which includes seating, work surfaces, and a sink. This island is larger than the islands used in many spaces, and it has a few unique features that make it really special. Carved cubbyhole storage was added at the ends of the island, leaving room to display artistic elements and to store small items such as cookbooks and plants. The modern island is curved to the seating side, giving it a very detailed, rich appearance. The island has enough length to provide seating for three and features an Iroko wood top.
Three piece crown moulding is used throughout the kitchen. The color palette is light. The cabinets were painted in ivory and the floor is a light gray porcelain tile in a wood pattern. The doorways were finished with brushed paint.
