Since the client lives in Englewood, New Jersey, which is the same town as our kitchen showroom is located at, they were familiar with our Modiani kitchen showroom from walking past it multiple times, as well as the high quality of product and service provided. They needed a new kitchen for their residential home, and approached Modiani to design a modern custom kitchen, using the Subzero and Thermador kitchen appliances, which they already owned as part of their previous kitchen. Our kitchen designer Bernard suggested a U-shape kitchen layout with a functional modern kitchen island in the center of the kitchen. For the kitchen countertops, we recommended to choose Organic White Caesarstone quartz countertops, which are very durable and form a nice design and contrast at the same time.
The kitchen is located on the ground floor of this luxury home with a wonderful view of the exteriors, including their garden, trees and hilly surroundings. The house itself is built on a knoll, which allows for a lot of sunlight coming through the kitchen windows in the afternoon. This modern Italian kitchen can be accessed through the living room same as the garage door, and has access to a terrace, where the couple can enjoy their meals. When coming up with the kitchen design, Bernard considered existing interior design elements, like the kitchen flooring in a light, beige tone, the stainless-steel kitchen appliances, lamps and large wooden table with six seating opportunities that dominates the open kitchen space. It was decided to leave the kitchen appliances openly exposed, hence allowing the stainless-steel effect of the appliances to form a third nice contrast together with certain other stainless-steel design elements, like the kitchen lamps, creating an industrial look in the interior space.
