• KITCHEN CABINETS: Modiani Handcrafted kitchen line
  • CABINET FINISHES: Simply white and cherry stain wood kitchen finishes

This transitional kitchen project is located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and is a blend of new meets old, or modern meets tradition. It was a collaboration between our Modiani kitchen designer Bernard Kim and the NJ architect Choi, who have worked closely on this transitional kitchen design to ensure that the kitchen design goes hand in hand with the home’s interior and exterior design. These high-end custom kitchen cabinets that use our Modiani Handcrafted kitchen line incorporate some new, trendy kitchen elements while embracing a cozy, traditional touch.

Back To Transitional Kitchen Portfolio

The kitchen was designed in a U-shape kitchen layout, and allows for two points of access for the owners of this NJ residence and their guests. The design of the kitchen is a Modiani Handcrafted semi custom design, which means that the kitchen cabinetry chosen uses our custom kitchen line with certain finish and color limitations, making it a high-end semi custom kitchen. It is locally produced in our own kitchen factory in Pennsylvania, and its elements and engravings are all hand-crafted, hence the name of the product line. The kitchen cabinet finishes chosen are simply whit” and cherry stain wood, two very high end kitchen materials commonly used in transitional kitchen design. The American transitional cabinet doors have a full overlay, and the patterns were suggested by our Modiani kitchen designer Bernard Kim amongst several other design options and then selected by the client after careful consideration.

In this luxury home, our kitchen design team was asked to design not just the kitchen, but also the bathroom spaces. Our Modiani kitchen showroom hence came up with a design that was as well simply white and integrates perfectly with the general look and feel of the transitional kitchen, even though the bathroom vanities have their own distinct, charming style. The visual integration of these two interior spaces was seamless, because recent trends in vanities mean their aesthetic is very similar to that of kitchen cabinetry:

  • Full overlay door style
  • Recessed panel door in Simply White on perimeter
  • Recessed panel door in Cherry stain on island
  • Transitional style project

We were pleased to hear that not only our design team and the NJ architect Choi were pleased about the kitchen project’s outcome, but that also the client totally fell in love with his new dream kitchen.
