For this transitional kitchen design in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, a white matte cabinet finish was being combined with brushed steel doors in stainless steel that also have a polished stainless steel kitchen cabinet frame, which is a very unique combination. Polished stainless steel was also used on the kitchen’s upper wall cabinets, which have transparent glass faces that were designed around the kitchen window, which is the main source of natural light within the kitchen space, and increase the kitchen’s transitional look and design. Statuary marble was used on the kitchen countertops and on the backsplash, which makes this handcrafted kitchen appear as a very high-end, unique design piece. The marble material used has a special protected countertop finish that makes sure that the marble is very durable and considers functional aspects.
Since social gatherings and entertainment is an important aspect for the family of this NJ home, a particularly long kitchen island by Modiani Handcrafted was designed and created with six Italian-made bar stools around it. The focal point of the cooking area is the kitchen’s range top, which is recessed into the stainless-steel section of the transitional kitchen. Additional features of the kitchen include the high-quality kitchen appliances, with two wine refrigerators, one of which extends all the way to the wall cabinets, a fully integrated freezer and refrigerator, all left exposed in a stainless-steel finish to create an industrial style look. Another highlight is the backless pantry in a dark gray wood cabinet finish that provides ample of storage space. To enhance the open, airy look of the kitchen space, the kitchen flooring was chosen in a light, textured finish that nicely emphasizes the different tones used within the kitchen space.
