This modern Cesar kitchen was designed by our Chief Design Officer and Senior Kitchen Designer at Cesar NYC Kobi Aharon, in collaboration with the architect Amy Ceppelin at Twelve Development LLC. It is located in a water-front spec house in Greenwich, CT, which has large stunning glass fronts, hence allowing the outside exteriors and the inside of the house to emerge into one perceived space. The beauty of the architecture of this home is that it was actually built on a rather steep hillside, which led to various architectural challenges. While the inside of the home was hyper modern, when admiring the villa from the outside, it was important for the client and the architect to maintain a rather traditional architectural style.
The kitchen featured in this Connecticut home uses a white, modern high gloss lacquer cabinet finish. This works really well in combination with the second major cabinet finish, which our designer Kobi suggested to be a gray looking wood veneer. These two finishes create a nice contrast and work perfectly with the white ceiling, and the dark kitchen flooring in a color similar to the cabinets’ wood veneer. The countertop chosen is a white waterfall countertop by Caesarstone for the kitchen island, and a gray countertop for the wall unit. The kitchen appliances include a fully integrated refrigerator as well as double ovens, and are all provided by Thermador. They were left exposed as part of this beautiful modern kitchen design.
This wonderful Italian custom kitchen design is characterized by a long, above average length kitchen island that incorporates ample storage space as well as a sink, to make it easier for the chef to prepare a meal by considering the so-called kitchen triangle as part of the kitchen design. A particular focus is to be put on the subtle lighting in the ceiling of the kitchen space, in combination with two silver lamps right above the kitchen island, as an additional design element.
Our design team suggested to include two rows of kitchen cabinets with lots of storage space and different depths as part of the design. The upper cabinets surround the elegant kitchen hood, and include flip up doors with convenient push to open mechanisms. This modern kitchen was integrated as part of an open space concept, and allows the chef to admire the outside, including the river, the terrace as well as the refreshing pool and SPA facilities while preparing a meal.
